BRRAKING NEWS : Kawampe - Kintampo accident: 20 persons reportedly dead 




Priscilla Aklorbortu - Another accident has occurred on the Kintampo Highway - This was as a result of a head-on collision between a metro mas transit bus and a sprinter minibus - Reports indicate that none of the passengers in the sprinter bus survived Our manifesto: This is what Oseikrom TV believes in Information reaching Oseikrom TV  indicates that more than 20 persons are feared dead after a head-on collision at Kawampe in the Kintampo North Municipality of the Bono East Region. 

According to a report filed by Graphic.com.gh, the Metro Mass Bus which was carrying sacks of fresh pepper and about 12 passengers and heading towards Kintampo from Tamale, collided head-on with the Sprinter minibus between Kawampe and Dawadawa at about 4.00 am Monday. 


Assemblyman for Kawampe, Mathias Taasun, said the two buses caught fire after the collision and all the passengers who got trapped in the Sprinter bus are dead. 

 "As I speak now personnel of the Ghana National Fire Service have been able to douse the fire and are removing the bodies of the deceased", he stated. He explained that only five out of the 12 passengers on the Metro Mass Transit Bus survived. "Besides the five survivors from the Metro Mass Bus, everything got burnt", he stated. 


Oseikrom TV earlier reported a tragic accident that occurred on the Techiman-Kintampo Highway. The accident claimed eight lives with several others severely injured. This happened when a truck and taxi collided on the highway. 

The driver of a Mercedez Benz truck with the registration number AS 9554 G, was said to have lost control and the truck was at the verge of falling on the opposite side.
