Ghana today, a career in football is one of the highest-paying jobs the not so rich in society can find only if they are talented.

It is especially lucrative and a destiny changer if one gets transferred to a club in Europe, America, Asia or the Arab 

But even for those who remain in Ghana or the African continent and were shrewd with their resources, they remain relatively okay.

One such person who is former Black Stars goalkeeper Fatau Dauda who seemed to have done so well for himself with his relatively moderate career.

A peep into the former Black Stars goalie’s house in Accra shows a beautiful house with some expensive cars which could rival some of the properties owned by the Europe-based players.

Dauda’s house, YEN.com.gh has gathered is located at East Legon Hills and he prefers to call it Lion Palace.

Inside the house, there are expensive cars like Jeep Grand Cherokee and KIA Sportage, which are very current models.

Dauda is also known to own other cars including Toyota Corolla and a Ford Fusion.


Born April 6, 1984, the 34-year-old started his professional career in 2004 with Okwahu United in the Division One League.

Two years later, he joined his hometown Obuasi Ashanti Gold where he starred for the team for about seven years before making a move out of Ghana.

Dauda joined South Africa’s Orlando Pirates in 2013 and left the following season after playing only three matches. He was actually being used as a backup for Senzo Meyiwa.

From Orlando Pirates, he joined Chippa United but that move proved problematic. Dauda left to rejoin Ashanti Gold in October 2014 after playing only two matches for Chippa.

Two years after rejoining Ashanti Gold, Dauda got a move to Nigerian giants Enyimba FC.

For Ghana, Dauda has been capped 28 times with his debut coming in 2008. He was the man in the post for the Black Stars’ 2013 AFCON campaign in South Africa which ended in a semi-final place.
