Coronavirus: First Lady cancelled International Women’s Day High Level Event



The Office of the First Lady, Mr. Rebecca Akufo-Addo has with immediate effect cancelled International Women’s Day High Level Event scheduled for Labadi Beech Hotel this evening. In a statement signed by the Director of Communication in the Office of the First Lady, the cancellation of the event was as a result of the confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ghana, announced by the Ministry of Health yesterday. The Office of the First Lady wishes to announce the cancellation of the International Women’s Day High Level Event scheduled for Labadi Beech Hotel this evening.
This is in view of the confirmed cases of COVID-19 in Ghana, announced by the Ministry of Health yesterday.
The Office of the First Lady entreats all Ghanaians to take good care of themselves.
We wish to encourage every Ghanaian to take care of their health and that of their families by adhering to the following precautionary measures:
1. Regular and thorough washing of hands with soap under running water and use of alcohol-based hand sanitizers.
2. Avoid shaking of hands.
3. Keep a distance of two meters from persons with fever, cough, sneezing and difficult in breaking.
4. It is advisable to be physically active, drink plenty of water, eat healthy, avoid stress and have enough sleep.
